Lana Panfilow has had the passion for dance since childhood. People around her homeland (NZ) as well as other parts of the world have had the opportunity to witness this passion. In 2006, Lana graduated from the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet after which she joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company during their season of Giselle. For 10 years she danced for professional companies all over Europe, focusing on ballet, contemporary and jazz.
She started in The Netherlands working with the Dutch musician/actor/singer/songwriter Herman van Veen and from there went on to work with Fusion dance companies De Kiss Moves and Massive Movement which also gave her the opportunity to tour and explore Poland, Belgium, Netherlands, and Norway with performances and teaching workshops for primary & high school students. For three years she was the lead dancer and face of Apassionata which is Europe’s most successful horse show. Lana also spent several weeks training with some of the world’s best dance teachers in New York City at Broadway Dance Center & Steps on Broadway and she was a cast member in the longest running and most successful show in German history – Stars in Concert. In 2020 Lana performed in a NZ tour of Tina – Simply The Best with Showtime Australia.
What better way to share your passion than to teach others to become just as good, or even better. With a bid to share her experience, Lana has spent five years at the Fafa Show Dance Academy in the Netherlands teaching Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop and Jazz. To back this up, she is a qualified Pilates instructor and has a Diploma in Sports Psychology as well as a Certificate in Business Management.
Lana opened the Flow Dance studio in 2018 and absolutely loves sharing her knowledge and experience of the professional dance scene with the students at Flow Dance Academy.
