Emma Reynolds was born and raised in Avondale. She began her formal dance training with Sharon Howells and continued learning from Taisia Missevich and Sandy Gray. Emma relished in the time she learnt technique and choreography from Sheryl Robinson. It was during this time that she gained a love of the athleticism and freedom of contemporary dance.
Emma furthered her studies in dance at the University of Waikato with Dr Karen Barbour. Here Emma would go on to perform many times on theatre stages, site specific work in the Hamilton Gardens, community halls and public squares and courtyards.
Emma returned to Christchurch a year ago and is excited to rejoin the Christchurch dance scene with Lana and Flow Dance Academy.
